I first experienced the healing power of sound during relaxation at a yin yoga class. It was an experience like no other.
It was the first time I was able to let go of the constant stream of thoughts & deeply relax onto the floor. It was also the first time I was able to actually meditate without trying too hard to meditate. I felt the vibrations of the sound specially the Gong very deeply in every fibre of my being. It felt like the Gong was shaking the pent up anxiety out of my body, it was as if the sound current had transported me to another dimension of existence. I felt renewed & rejuvenated after the session. I was finally able to experience what it meant to simply be.
I was craving more Sound specially Gong session so I kept going back for more for a period of time until I was ready for more. My desire to connect with this magical instrument was insatiable. I decided to study the Sound & Gong. I dove really deeply into the world of Sound & gong therapy & continue to do so. Gong makes meditation accessible for me. It helps me to shift out of the state of constant stress & anxiety. It helps me relax into the experience of my own being & accept what is present within me at any given moment. The vibration of the Gong enables me to connect with different facets of my own existence & get comfortable in my own discomfort. The medicine of Gong is the most authentic method of self expression for me. Facilitating Gong & sound sessions allows me to hold space for my participant(s) to authentically express themselves in whatever shape or form that they wish to.
